Suchowola

A small town in the province of Grodno. The synagogue was built in the second half of the 18th c. and was burnt by the Germans during the Second World War.

Its dimensions: 17.5X17m, height: 15m

The women's sections were in the low pavilions at the north and at the south.

The square men's synagogue was lower than the entrance room and was covered with an octagonal ceiling. In between four supporting pillars, in the middle of the room was the Almemar (Bimah). Carved cornices decorated the ceiling. The veranda along the Western Wall was a Heder" (school for children).
